Jamshedpur, Jan 18: A delegation of the Bharatiya Jantantra Morcha (BJM) led by District President Subodh Shrivastav, submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner on Thursday, demanding the declaration of a holiday in schools and colleges on January 22. It was stated in the memorandum that on January 22, a historic Pran Pratishtha Mahotsav (life consecration ceremony) of Lord Shri Ram Lala would be performed in Ayodhya on January 22 and, as such, on that day, a one-day government holiday should be declared in all government and non-government schools, colleges, and other educational institutions in East Singhbhum district. The memorandum emphasized that after centuries of anticipation, the consecration ceremony of Lord Shri Ram Lala’s idol would take place in Ayodhya. The entire country was filled with joy, enthusiasm, and excitement in anticipation of the historic event. All citizens were eagerly looking forward to January 22. “On this historic occasion, every follower of Sanatan Dharma wants to witness the consecration of Lord Shri Ram Lala’s idol directly in Ayodhya’s Shri Ram Mandir, and celebrate this day as a festival with their families by participating in worship and devotional songs. Considering the significance of this day, it is suggested to declare a government holiday in all educational institutions so that the residents of the district can celebrate this day as a grand and joyous festival, similar to other celebrations,” the demand notice added. The BJM delegation included the party’s District President Manoj Singh Ujjain, Vikas Gupta, Dharmendra Prasad, Raghavendra Pratap Singh, Kailash Jha, Varun Singh, Chhunu Bhumij, Shankar Karmakar, Binod Rai, Vijay Narayan Singh, Sonu Tiwari, and others.
