BIS Jamshedpur organizes industrial visit for Khunti School students

Jamshedpur: The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Jamshedpur, organized an industrial exposure visit for nearly 100 students from Khunti district, offering them an in-depth look at manufacturing processes at Chaika Polymers Pvt. Ltd., Ranchi. The students were from K.B. +2 High School, Arki and Jaipal Singh +2 High School, Alaundi.

During the visit, students keenly observed various stages of HDPE and PVC pipe production, from raw material selection to waste management and recycling. Their curiosity was evident in their interactions with industry experts, as they sought insights into quality control and safety measures.

A particularly inspiring moment occurred when a student from K.B. +2 High School, Arki, expressed her dream of becoming an entrepreneur. She inquired about the investment and steps required to launch a startup, demonstrating the visit’s impact in igniting entrepreneurial aspirations.

BIS Standards Promotion Consultant Vivek Garg, who coordinated the visit, emphasized, “Exposing students to real-world industrial practices is essential in shaping their career paths. Such visits encourage innovation and technical awareness among young minds.”

Teachers accompanying the students expressed gratitude to BIS for the initiative, highlighting its role in enhancing practical learning beyond classroom education.
