Bihar Business Connect 2023: Investment Agreements worth Rs 50,530 Crore inked with 302 companies

Patna: In a landmark development, the two-day Bihar Business Connect 2023 (Global Investor Summit) has paved the way for a surge in industrial growth in Bihar. The summit, attended by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, witnessed the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) totaling Rs 50,530 crore with 302 companies, signaling a significant stride towards economic advancement in the state.

On the second day of the summit, investment proposals amounting to Rs 24,045.15 crore were presented, complementing the Rs 26,485.85 crore worth of agreements signed on the first day. The Industries Department, under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, formalized these crucial agreements with representatives of prominent companies.

One of the noteworthy announcements came from the Adani Group, committing to an investment of Rs 8,700 crore in Bihar in the near future. This influx of investment is expected to not only foster the growth of industries but also generate employment opportunities for lakhs of individuals in the state. The summit has set the stage for Bihar’s industrial landscape to flourish, offering promise and prosperity for the region.
