Bhojpuria Beyar wants land law amendment

Jamshedpur: Bhojpuria Beyar members have demanded a national debate on the CNT Act, SPT Act along with Section 370. They handed over a memorandum addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the deputy commissioner of East Singhbhum Dr Amitabh Kaushal on Friday in this connection.

The outfit members said there was need for amendments in the CNT Act and SPT Act in present context. Both these acts being very old, there is an urgent need to cast a fresh glance on them and bring about changes relevant to present times and requirements, they said.

The outfit members said due to the old land law, the development of tribal people could not be ensured in the last many decades. Now it is high time the law is changed for the better, they said.
