Jamshedpur, Feb. 9: As part of the Brahmotsavam celebrations at Sri Venkateswara (Balaji) Temple, situated near Vijaya Gardens, Marakati, Baridih, the pujas on Thursday morning commenced with chanting of Suprabhat for Lord Venkateswara, followed by Garuda Pratishtha, Adeevasa havan.
Later on Dhwajarohana pratishtha was conducted by Ved Pandit Sri Narasimha Acharyulu, chief priest of Hyderabad Birla Mandir. He was accompanied by Sudarsana Mantra Upasaka, E S V Prasad Sastry and Vaidika Agama, Emani Anantha Laxmi Narasimha Sai Kumar Sarma. At the conclusion of Dhwajarohana, Sarva Devata Aahvan was performed and puja was conducted for Ashtadikpal, followed by Bheri Thandavam, a unique puja coupled with bhajan was performed for all the presiding deities.
In the evening Bheri Tandavam was once again organized, again inviting all the deities with Sarva Devata Ahvan, Chatusthanarchana, followed by havan for Lord Hayagriva and finally Poornahuti was performed.
Hundreds of devotees who witnessed the pujas and the havan were offered prashad by the managing committee members of the temple.
