Jamshedpur: Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha has alleged that a shopping mall is coming up illegally on a plot of land (Khata no 55, plot no 36) at Jugsalai Chowk Bazaar.
In a memorandum to the DC the Morcha said that the said plot of land has been registered in the name of one Lalit Sardar, who is a Bhumij (tribal).
According to SPT Act tribal land cannot be sold to non-tribal. In this case one Bhagwan Das has taken possession of the land and is constructing a mall on the plot which is illegal, the Morcha complained.
The organization has demanded an inquiry on the issue.
