Saraikela, April 5: The Bhairav Sangh Committee of Saraikela organized Kalash Yatra in which 108 young girls carried water in pitchers from Jagannath Ghat along the Kharkai River and marched in a procession to Bhairav Mandir near the bus stand. The pitchers were placed before the idol of Baba Bhairav Nath amidst chanting of mantras in Sanskrit. Consecrated food was distributed among the devotees at the temple. Prayers were conducted according to Vedic rituals. The committee’s team of volunteers included Vikram Pramanik, Swapan Kamila, Utkal Pramanik, Sudarshan Das, Kalu Rana, Sudam Kamila and other members.
