Ranchi, Feb. 9: Reviewing the Law and Order situation of the state at Project Building, Chief Minister Mr. Raghubar Das said that good police officers will be rewarded and the wrong ones will be punished. The confiscation of property law has been passed. The govt. is opening smart police stations with smart officers in the state.
He directed the police officers to deal strictly with coal mafia and land brokers. Nobody will intervene. He directed all DSPs to visit 2-3 police stations everyday and see the development of important issues. He said that SPs, SSPs and DIGs should also review the important cases weekly.
He directed the police to be vigilant on notorious criminals and ensure that they don�t get bail from the court. He said that the condition of investigation and the ratio of punishment are very low in the state and they need improvement. He directed the police to take legal advice in the starting of a case if needed.
He directed the police personnel to keep the police station clean. The officer-in- charge should take the responsibility. Women and child police stations should be started soon. Praising the police for controlling extremism, the CM said that any unpleasant accident can be avoided with alertness.
He said that the basic infrastructural facilities are being modernized. The unified Dial system 100 will start functioning from 31st March and will be in vogue from next financial year in all the police stations. He said that Shakti app ( related with women security) is functioning in Ranchi and Jamshedpur.
It will be implemented in other districts in stages. The appointment of constables and schedule tribe battalion are done fast. CCTVs have been installed on important places at Bokaro, Gumla and Chatra. Soon it will be implemented in all police stations. Cyber police stations, trafficking, CCTNS, CCA etc. are also considered for review.
Chief Secretary Mr. Rajiv Gauba, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. N.N. Pandey, DGP Mr. D.K. Pandey, Principal Secretary to the CM Mr. Sanjay Kumar, ADG Mr. B.B. Pradhan, Secretary to the CM Mr. Sunil Burnwal including SSP and SP were present in the meeting.
