Baul Lakhan Das enamours audience at Rabindra Bhawan

Jamshedpur: A house full audience was enamoured with the presentations of popular singer Lakhan Das Baul with his vast array of old and traditional songs that emanate the perfume of the soil.

Lakhan Das sang all-time popular numbers that echoed the poetry of the soul as these compositions have been meant to be through generations of Bauls who continue to speak the language of love in association with the soul, conscience and Divinity.

The Bauls are basically from Birbhum the land of Rabindranath�s creative pursuits, Shanti Niketan. General Secretary of Tagore Society, Asish Chowdhury said that tonight�s performance was in keeping with the organization�s pursuit of preserving, nurturing and promoting traditional art and culture and Baul music is a part of traditional heritage.
