Basti Vikas Samiti’s ‘No plastic campaign’ reaches Baridih

Jamshedpur: A public awareness campaign was organized in A Block, Bagunhatu, on Sunday under the aegis of Basti Vikas Samiti, Baridih unit. It was led by general secretary of the Baridih unit Shashikant Singh. The outfit president Khemlal Choudhary and state committee member of Twenty Point Committee Sanjeev Singh were also present on the occasion.

During the campaign, the outfit members visited various households and distributed handbills with messages on the health and environmental hazards of plastic among the residents. The people were asked to shun plastic in every form. An appeal was made to them to cooperate with the government to banish plastic from daily life.

Addressing a gathering, Sanjeev Singh, one of the campaigners, said saving the environment is the duty of all individuals as this is the only way to protect the coming generations from the wrath of Nature.

Among others present during the campaign included Dinesh Kumar Singh, Hareram Singh, Dr Sunita Bedi, BK Mishra and Kumar Vishwajeet.
