Jamshedpur: An urgent meeting of the Jamshedpur Basti Vikas Samiti (BVS) central committee was convened under the chairmanship of Khemlal Chowdhary. The meeting was attended by the office bearers of the BVS and its Mandal presidents.
Speaking on the occasion Khemlal stated that every eligible voter should utilize the constitutional right. He said that voters should exercise their franchise carefully and vote for representatives who have striven to provide the basic amenities to the people. �It is the voters who select their representatives for a five year term. These representatives draw up plans and policies for the betterment of the nation and her people,� he observed.
It was decided in the meeting that the BVS would shortly launch a voter awareness drive through discussions with the people and meetings to drive home the constitutional factors that provide people with the right to vote and elect representatives to run the government.
Among those present at this meeting were joint general secretaries Kamlesh Singh and Boltu Sarkar, vice presidents Dinesh Singh, Sushant Panda and Jitendra Mishra, Samiti secretary Manjit Singh, Krishna Yadav, NK Ojha, Pankaj Priya, Manoj Bajpayee, Manoj Srivastav and others.
