Potka, July 10: The ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has issued directives for the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojna (PMAGY). The Potka Block BDO Kapil Kumar conducted baseline (household survey) in Dudhkundi village under Sohda Panchayat. The ministry has chosen Potka Block for the implementation of PMAGY. The BDO and PMAGY district coordinator Vikas Kumar Singh launched the baseline survey. The survey was conducted from door to door.
A meeting was held with the villagers wherein the project was explained to them in detail. They were told that the government would provide Rs 20 lakh in the first phase for village development encompassing infrastructure, cleanliness and environment, community infrastructure, human resources development and social harmony. The villagers were urged to cooperate in conducting the baseline survey so that it could be completed at the earliest. Those present at the meeting and during the survey included Mukhiya Russian Murmu, village committee secretary Subhash Chandra Nayak, Panchayat secretary Rup Chand Murmu, Gram Pradhan, members of Sakhi Mandal and other villagers.
