Jamshedpur: Former Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Arjun Munda today inaugurated the Durga Puja pandal of Baridih Workers Flat Durga And Kali Puja Committee at Baridih Main Road.
Congratulating the committee members for organizing the puja at such a grand scale, Munda said he hoped to see a huge gathering at the venue. State BJP spokesperson Amarpreet Singh Kale was also present as a distinguished guest on the occasion.
District BJP president Dinesh Kumar was also invited as a guest at the inaugural session of the puja. The committee patron Suman Shandilya, president Neeraj Singh and general secretary Sanjay Kumar Sinha said the pandal was built at an expense of Rs 11 lakh. The pandal depicts a train chugging through the hills of Darjeeling, they said.
Puja committee members went on to inform that every year a large number of visitors came to Baridih to witness the grand pandal and puja. This year too, visitors are coming in hordes, they said.
