Jamshedpur, Feb 8: Bank of Baroda (BoB) organized a collective SHG (Self-Help Group) camp in Sahebganj, where a total amount of Rs. 1.65 crore was disbursed. This initiative of the bank aimed at not only providing financial assistance to rural areas of Jharkhand but also to economically empowering self-help groups.
More than 500 SHG members attended the event, where officials shared insights on SHGs, financial inclusion, and other banking products and services. Among the dignitaries present were BDO Meghnad Oraon, Cluster Coordinator H.N. Mishra, Ajay, and Sunita Tudu, Chief of Kaurikhutabari, along with members from Mother Teresa School and other guests and members of the press.
BoB Jamshedpur Regional Manager Manish Prakash Sinha, along with officials from the Regional Office Financial Inclusion Department, branch managers from Sahebganj, Kaurikhutabari, Jirlikarhari, and Chasgama, business representatives, SHG leaders, and local rural residents were present.
This initiative showcased Bank of Baroda’s commitment to fostering financial inclusion and empowerment in rural areas.
