Jamshedpur: A key directive issued during the monthly review meeting of the Education Department was to ensure the opening of bank accounts for the remaining 2,000 students of the district within this month. All Block Education Extension Officers, school-wise teachers, and Block Programme Officers have been instructed to reach out to parents through Guru Goshtis and run a special campaign to facilitate the process.
The meeting, held at the Collectorate Auditorium as per the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi, was chaired by Deputy Development Commissioner Nagendra Paswan. A detailed review of the progress of Samagra Shiksha and the Pradhan Mantri Poshan Yojana was undertaken during the session.
Emphasis was also laid on the timely distribution of pre-matric and post-matric scholarships. Officials were directed to ensure that the DBT-based scholarship amounts from the Welfare Department reach all eligible students promptly. In cases where funds have been returned, reasons must be identified and reported to the District Welfare Officer.
In another important decision, it was mandated that the distribution of bicycles to all eligible students must be completed by 22 August 2025. For this, Block Education Extension Officers are to coordinate with Block Development Officers, Block Welfare Officers, and public representatives.
All teachers were directed to complete the Continuous and Professional Development (CDP) online training programme within the current month. Under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” initiative, every school has been tasked with achieving 100 percent plantation by 15 August 2025 using saplings from Forest Department nurseries.
Schools have also been instructed to register for the Chief Minister Swachh Vidyalaya Award within a week and upload necessary photographs. Daily uploading of student attendance on the e-Vidyavahini portal has been made mandatory, with show-cause action to be taken against non-compliant staff.
Deputy Development Commissioner Nagendra Paswan stated that the timely execution of all educational schemes and targets remains a top priority for the district administration, and officials must ensure that no negligence is tolerated.
