Jamshedpur: City-based social and cultural organization Banga Bandhu organized programmes at Parsudih and Kadma to pay tributes to Kavi Guru Ravindra Nath Tagore on his 156th birth anniversary.
The outfit members inaugurated the event by garlanding a portrait of Tagore.
Ravindra Sangeet was presented on the occasion.
Story books were distributed among 21 students of Parsudih and Kadma on the occasion. It was decided to teach Bengali language to local children in a bid to promote the language.
Many students of Parsudih, Telco, Mango, Baridih, Kadma and Sonari were present during the programme.
