Jamshedpur: The 29th annual Brahma Utsav will be celebrated with religious fervour and traditional rituals at the Balaji Temple in Sidhgora from March 12 to March 15. Temple committee members informed about the programme during a press conference on Tuesday. Nine priests from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, will conduct the rituals and pujas according to traditional Vedic practices.
The four-day festival will begin on March 12 with the Sri Vaari Tiruvedhi Festival at 4 pm, followed by Vishvaksena Aradhanam, Bhagavat Punyahavachanam, Parishat, Panchagavya Mandaradhanam, Rakshasutra Bandhanam and Deeksharadhanam at 6 pm.
On March 13, the day will start with Suprabhat Seva and daily worship at 5 am. Yagashala Pravesham and other rituals will be held at 8 am, while Dhwajerohanam will take place at 11:30 am. A special Garuda Prasadam will be given to couples praying for children. In the evening, Shree Mahalaxmi Samuhika Kumkumarchana and Maha Havan with 108 lotus flowers will be organised.
On March 14, special homas, Thirumanjanam with 108 kalashas and Sudarshan Narasimha Homa will be performed. The final day on March 15 will feature Maha Poornahuti, Dhwajarohanam, and the Sri Srinivas Kalyan Mahotsav.
Temple committee president R Raju, Kamla Sharma, general secretary R Prabhakar Rao, Ravi Kiran, Ravi Ramachandran, Mukund Rao, Yashoda Soni, Rani and Pramila were present at the press conference.
