Jamshedpur, Feb. 12: As part of 2nd Brahmotsavam at Balaji Mandir, Baridih, the pujas and havan started with Suprabhata seva at 5.30 am on Sunday morning.
After this, Aditya Hrudaya Havan was performed by the all the pandits, followed by Nisachar Utsavam. Later on, Divya Kalyanotsavam (wedding of Sri Balaji with Maa Lakshmi and Maa Bhudevi) was performed by Sri Narasimhachari, chief priest of Birla Balaji Mandir, Hyderabad and other visiting pandits. Maha Aarti was shown to the deities and prashad was distributed to thousands of devotees who thronged the temple on Sunday.
In the evening, Lord Balaji with his consorts, Sri Lakshmi and Bhudevi was taken out in a grand procession on Sesha Vahana (elephant) and reached Andhra Bhakta Sri Rama Mandiram at Bistupur, where archana and aarati was performed. Chatusthanarchana was also conducted at Baridih Mandir, followed by Purnahuti.
The puja concluded with Vishnu Devalaya Sarva Gayatri Havan after which maha Aarti was shown to all the deities at the temple and prashad was distributed to hundreds of devotees.
