Ranchi: A lower court of Bokaro district rejected the bail petition of Bharatiya Janata Party leader Giriraj Singh on Monday.
The public prosecutor Sanjay Kumar Jha said the court of the additional district judge (I) rejected the petition for bail submitted by the BJP leader after hearing arguments of both sides.
A case was lodged against Giriraj Singh in Harla police station for allegedly making a controversial statement at Vaishali ground in Sector 9 of Boarko on 18th April last.
Police had obtained a non-bailable arrest warrant against him on 23rd April last. A police team was sent to Patna to nab the BJP leader at his house.
But he was not found there. The BJP leader�s advocate said the case will be taken to the HC.
