Ranchi, August 26: On the lines of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam, the Baidyanath Dham shrine in state’s Deoghar district will have its own temple authority, to oversee its running, Jharkhand government said today.
The government has in principle taken the decision to establish an authority of Baidyanath temple and Basukinath temple on the lines of Tirupati and other major temples in the country, Chief Minister Raghubar Das said in the Assembly.
The state’s Chief Minister would be the chairman of the temple authority, he added. On the other hand Chief Secretary Rajeev Gauba has directed the concerned departments to complete the administrative process regarding construction of queue complex at Deoghar.
He asked the Urban Development Department officers to assure rejuvenation & modification of Shiv-Ganga and construction of queue complex at Deoghar in two stages.
It was decided in the meeting that the first stage of queue complex construction would be completed in 18 months to render proper facilities & amenities to the pilgrims.
