Baharagora: Dr Ajoy leads Bharat Jodo Yatra on day five

Jamshedpur, Dec 26: Former Jamshedpur MP and Congress leader Dr Ajoy Kumar led hundreds of party workers on the fifth day of Bharat Jodo Yatra in Baharagora here on Monday. The Yatra started at Binapani Stadium, Rajlaband, Baharagora, at 9.30 am. A decorated truck equipped with LCD and sound boxes moved through the local market and flyover and reached Bankatta Pathri, Guhiyapal, via Chourangi More Mouda.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Ajoy said the people of villages were reeling under inflation and unemployment. He alleged that the Central government was unable to adequately supply fertilizers to farmers. He said the Centre was discriminating against non-BJP governments in various states and was not providing funds to them under the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM). He said the Bharat Jodo Yatra had moved through 26 panchayats and 54 villages covering a distance of approximately 110 km.

Others present during the programme included district Congress working committee president Dharmendra Sonkar and rural district president Amit Rai.
