Sachin Tudu named player of the series
Jamshedpura, Feb 15: Badahariharpur Blasters emerged victorious in the sixth edition of the Mahadev Premier League (MPL) Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament, defeating Ramchandrapur Royals by seven wickets in an exciting final match on Saturday.
The tournament, organized by Adhunik Power and Natural Resources Limited at Kandra in Seraikela district, saw intense competition among 16 teams over ten days. The final, held at Badahariharpur Ground, witnessed a thrilling contest between the two best teams of the tournament.

Batting first after winning the toss, Ramchandrapur Royals posted a competitive total of 93 runs for the loss of three wickets in 12 overs. Key contributions came from Sumit Mahato (36), Sachin Tudu (23), and Neeraj (12). Mukesh Kumar of Badahariharpur Blasters impressed with the ball, taking two wickets, while Lalchand Rawani claimed one.
In response, Badahariharpur Blasters chased down the target comfortably in the 11th over, powered by Narayan Mahato’s explosive 36, Mukesh Kumar’s crucial 28, and Sachin Singh’s 12. Their victory sparked celebrations among players and spectators.

Sachin Tudu of Ramchandrapur Royals was named both Player of the Series and Best Batsman, while his teammate Sumit Mahato won the Best Bowler award. Mukesh Kumar, who played a match-winning knock in the final, was awarded Player of the Final.
The final was graced by Adhunik Power’s CEO Arun Kumar Mishra, who distributed trophies, medals, and prizes to the winners and runners-up. The tournament was officiated by umpires Lalu Prasad Yadav and Mahesh Mahi, with Deepak Yadav as the scorer.
