Jamshedpur: Congress leader Surendra Kumar Jha alias Bablu Jha was handed a legal notice for posting a false notification on social media alleging Jamshedpur Block Up Pramukh Afzal Akhtar of demanding Rs 10, 000 as extortion money. Afzal Akhtar has sent a legal notice through his lawyer Ranjandhari Singh to Surendra Kumar Jha for the false allegation whereby the latter has been given a weeks time from receipt of the notice to reply and tender a public apology to his client Afzal Akhtar.

It may be mentioned here that a drain in North Ghorabandha was being constructed along the roadside between the houses of Nasim Akhtar and Hussain Chacha under the supervision of agent Danish Ahmad.

Afzal Akhtar found anomalies in the construction work and registered his protest at the Jamshedpur BDOs office. There was no mention of extortion anywhere and thus Afzals lawyer has contended that Bablu Jhas claim on social media was wrong and unjustified.
