B.P.Ed team wins volleyball competition at Jamshedpur Women’s University

Jamshedpur, Sep 13: The first annual sports meet of Jamshedpur Women’s University for the 2024-2025 session witnessed stellar performances by volleyball and kabaddi players on September 12 and 13, held at the university’s Bistupur campus.

In the volleyball competition, seven teams participated, with the B.P.Ed team emerging victorious. Postgraduate students secured second place, while undergraduate students finished third, showcasing impressive skills throughout the matches.

The kabaddi competition saw participation from nine teams. Undergraduate students claimed the top spot, with B.P.Ed. students taking second place and undergraduate arts students finishing third.

During the closing ceremony, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Anjila Gupta congratulated all the participants, encouraging them to pursue sports actively, noting the immense potential for growth in the field. She wished the students a bright future and highlighted the university’s commitment to fostering talent in sports.

The success of the sports meet was attributed to the efforts of the Sports Committee, led by Chairman Dr. Sanatan Deep, along with Teja, Prabhat Mahato, and other committee members, who were commended for their dedication in organizing the event.
