Awareness workshop on menstrual hygiene in Jamshedpur Women’s University 

Jamshedpur, June 29: Marwari Yuva Manch (MYM) Steel City Surbhi unit installed ‘Amrit Dhara’ (cold water dispenser) in Jamshedpur Women’s University (JWU) campus, Bistupur on Wednesday. Along with this, a workshop was also organized in the college on menstrual hygiene. Around 400 girls participated in the workshop. Jamshedpur Women’s University Vice Chancellor Dr. Anjila Gupta was the chief guest for the occasion.

Dr. Rashika Agarwal, Gynecologist along with Provincial Coordinator, Health Mission Cancer Jagriti Parul Chetani, Branch President Usha Chaudhary and Secretary Nidhi Agarwal were present.

Students asked several questions during the workshop which were answered by the experts.

About 500 sanitary napkins were distributed among the girls. Amrit Dhara has been sponsored by the family of late Jugal Kishore Saraiwala. To make the event successful Neelam Debuka, Pooja Aggarwal, Priyanka Chaudhary, Siddhi Kauntia, Nikita, Deepa Jain, Lata Khirwal, Shweta Pasari, Rajni Bandhan, Pooja Agarwal provided fullsupport.

It may be known that Amrit Mahotsav is being celebrated by All India Marwari Yuva Manch to commemorate the 75th anniversary of independence, under which 75 Amrit Dhara will be installed by Jharkhand province in the state.
