West Bokaro: Tata Steel West Bokaro Division organized an awareness rally on Saturday morning to mark World AIDS Day.
More than 250 students and youth participated in the awareness rally that was flagged-off by Mr Sanjay Kumar Singh, General Manager (Coal), Tata Steel in the presence of Mr B V Sudhir Kumar, Chief, Coal Beneficiation, Tata Steel (West Bokaro), Dr Ashish Roy, Chief Medical Officer, Tata Central Hospital, West Bokaro, Mr Kailash Gope, Treasurer, Rastriya Colliery Mazdoor Sangh (RCMS), Mr Kumar Vikram, Head, Administration, Tata Steel (West Bokaro) and Mr Mr Keshav Kumar Ranjan, Unit Head, Tata Steel Rural Development Society (TSRDS).
The rally was organized with an objective to generate awareness amongst the general population on the issues of HIV and AIDS, modes of transmission and its correlation with drugs.
Students of B R Ambedkar High School, Ram Manohar Lohia High School, Vivekanand High School, Rajkiya Middle School along with members of RISHTA Project and youth from various nearby villages participated in the rally that started from Administrative Building, Tata Steel (West Bokaro) and meandered through many parts West Bokaro before culminating at TSRDS office.
