Awareness on SWAYAM and NPTEL portals at Srinath College of Education

Jamshedpur, April 15: An awareness program on the SWAYAM and NPTEL online learning platforms was organized at Srinath College of Education to promote digital education among students and faculty. The session, conducted by the college librarian under the aegis of the Library Committee and IQAC Cell, aimed to familiarize participants with the vast range of courses available through these government-supported portals.

The resource person, Abhishek Ranjan, Assistant Professor at Srinath University, introduced SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds) and NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning), emphasizing their role in providing accessible, flexible and quality education. He highlighted that these platforms offered free courses across diverse disciplines, enabling learners to upgrade their knowledge and skills at their own pace.

Participants were guided through the process of registration, course selection and certification. The session also underlined the benefits of enrolling in such courses, including academic enrichment, career advancement and the opportunity to learn from premier institutions like IITs and central universities.

Students engaged in the interactive session and showed keen interest in enrolling in relevant courses. The programme concluded with a question-and-answer session addressing queries related to course structure, examinations and certification.
