Jamshedpur, June 17 : An awareness yatra was taken out by the department of drinking water and sanitation on Saturday in Govindpur area to prevent wastage of water and to make people aware.

Last days, problems related to drinking water were raised by the people in the Deputy Commissioner’s public court. After the instructions of the Deputy Commissioner, the effort to solve the problems related to drinking water was started by the department. In this sequence, on Saturday, an effort was made by the Drinking Water Department to make people aware by going door-to-door to save water.

At the same time, people were made aware through the awareness chariot. Giving information in this regard, SDO Anuj Sinha said that it has been seen that a lot of water is being wasted from people’s homes in Govindpur. People leave the pipe open, the car is being cleaned.

In view of this, the drinking water department appealed to all the people to stop the wastage of water, otherwise punitive action will be taken against them by the department.
