Jamshedpur: On the occasion of International Day of Older Persons, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) organized a legal awareness-cum-medical camp at Old Age Home Ashirwad Bhavan, Baradwari.
The program was graced by Principal District and Sessions Judge Arvind Kumar Pandey as the chief guest, along with Additional District and Sessions Judge Vimlesh Kumar Sahay, Chief Judicial Magistrate Vishal Gaurav, and DLSA Secretary Dharmendra Kumar.
Addressing the gathering, Judge Pandey emphasized that serving and respecting elders should always be a priority. He stressed the need for regular health check-ups for residents of the old age home and instructed for periodic visits by Ayurvedic practitioners. He personally met each of the elderly residents, enquired about their well-being, and assured them that they are not alone, adding that DLSA Jamshedpur stands firmly with them.

The program was conducted by DLSA Secretary Dharmendra Kumar, who informed that a formal request had been made to the Civil Surgeon for deputation of doctors and health workers, following which medical teams were deployed at both the old age home and the shelter home. He further assured that DLSA will continue to organize regular medical camps to monitor the health of senior citizens.

A similar camp was also held at the Ashray Grih in Baradwari, where health check-ups of both male and female residents were carried out and free medicines were distributed.
To make the event successful, the efforts of Principal Assistant Sanjay Kumar, Assistant Ravi Murmu, PLVs Prakash Mishra, Sunil Pandey, Ashish Prajapati, Sanjit Das, Joba Rani Baske, Sunita Jha, Sunita Kumari, S. Ramya, Jyotsna Gop, Prakash Shandilya, Raman and others were noteworthy.
