Jamshedpur, July 17: Avik Memorial Trust organized various events for students at Michael John auditorium in Bistupur on Wednesday. The events included an inter school elocution contest, sit and draw competition, dance competition and a short play on deaddiction.
The chief guest of the occasion was SS Razi, vice chancellor of Arka Jain University. He condoled the demise of Avik and praised the outfit members for their social initiatives.
A welcome speech was given by Sujay Roy who spoke about the objectives and activities of the Trust. It was informed that the Trust was registered online on 13th July last. A welcome speech was delivered by Soma Sarkar and Tanya Roy. Around 250 people were present on the occasion. They included Gerundine Francis, Dr Jaya Bhaduri, Preeti Pandey, RK Kulkarni and Narendra Sharma.
