Jamshedpur: DGM Airport Architecture and other senior officials of the Union Aviation Ministry visited the site of proposed airport in Dhalbhumgarh on Saturday. The DGM directed the East Singhbhum officials to prepare a proposal for the setting up of an airport across an area of 150 acres and send it to the Aviation Ministry. He met DC Amit Kumar and discussed various issues with him.
Sources said the Aviation Secretary directed the DGM and other Aviation Ministry officials to conduct a physical inspection of the airport site. The Secretary had recently visited Dhalbhumgarh and seen the airport site.
Sources said the airport construction work is expected to pick up pace as almost all hurdles have been removed.
