Auto-rickhsaw thief arrested from Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, April 19: Azadnagar police arrested one Abdul Tausif alias Kalia on Tuesday for stealing an auto-rickshaw and selling its battery to a man in Burmamines, officials said.

According to police, the stolen battery has been recovered. The accused had taken out the battery and sold it to a shop owner in Burmamines. He was planning to sell the auto-rickshaw on a piecemeal basis, but got caught, cops said.

Cops said the accused had been jailed earlier in connection with theft cases. The accused had stolen the auto-rickshaw of one Mohammad Rabbani in Waris Colony, Mango, on 4^th April last. The vehicle was recovered from Jugsalai four days later.
