Jamshedpur, Jan 12: The prevailing winter chill could not prevail on Jamshedpur music lovers and connoisseurs from filling up the vast Rabindra Bhawan Auditorium on the second day today of the three day Annual Rabindra Sangeet Sammelan organized by Tagore Society. The warmth of Kobi Guru Rabindranaths compositions and the mellifluous and authentic renditions of the musical notations as composed by the poet himself by acclaimed artistes of this genre Rohini Roy Chowdhury, Srikanta Acharya, Assams Sujata Baniya, and Monomoy Bhattacharya left the audience enchanted, enraptured. The vocalists brought alive the expressions of Rabindranath through his compositions. It was not for nothing that the saying, Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder sat squarely on the creative descriptions of moods and seasons by the World Poet.
In an unofficial chat Tagore Societys General Secretary Asish Chowdhury observed, Rabindranath Tagore was a poet par excellence whose compositions touch every aspect of life and describe life in totality. Todays youth can draw inspiration from Kobi Gurus compositions. Even after more than 150 years he seems to speak through his creative brilliance.
The third and final day on Sunday, January 12 of this annual chapter of Rabindra Sangeet Sammelan, proven artistes of the class of Komolini Mukherjee, Manoj Murli Nair, SA-RE=GA-MA famed Gurjit Singh and internationally famed Rabindra Sangeet exponent from Bangladesh Aditi Mohsin will spread the fragrance of love in all its variants.
