Dhanbad The Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) has successfully apprehended four individuals involved in the shooting of Deepak Aggarwal, a motor parts businessman in Dhanbad. In a joint operation with the Dhanbad Police, the ATS acted swiftly to detain four members of the Prince Khan gang. Based on the information provided by these detainees, the ATS, in collaboration with Dhanbad Police, is conducting raids to locate additional suspects.
The incident occurred on the night of October 29th when Deepak Aggarwal, the owner of Car Center, a car parts shop on Matkuria Road in the Bank Mod police station area of Dhanbad, was shot by unidentified assailants. He sustained a gunshot wound to the neck, which exited through his chin.
Subsequently, a letter attributed to the leader of the Prince Khan gang, claiming responsibility for the attack and threatening local businessmen with similar consequences if extortion demands were not met, circulated on social media. Many business names were listed in this letter.
Deepak Aggarwal had reportedly been receiving extortion threats prior to the attack. The incident has triggered considerable anger among local business owners. In response, the Dhanbad District Chamber of Commerce has decided to stage a protest by closing all district shops.
