Jamshedpur, Dec 28: Miscreants withdrew Rs20,000 from the account of a L&T employee from an ATM at Dimna Chowk under MGM thana by changing the ATM card of the original account holder who had come to the ATM for withdrawing money.
According to the complaint lodged by the L&T employee Kali Charan Rajwar at the MGM thana he had come to the ATM of Indicash situated near Dimna Chowk under MGM thana to withdraw money but could not withdraw it despite several attempts.
An outsider sought his permission to help him withdrew the money but in the process changed the ATM card. When the complainant returned home he found Rs 20,000 withdrawn from his account and the ATM card changed.
The complainant a native of Purulia district of Bengal was working with L&T in the civil construction work done at the MGM Medical College in Dimna.
The police are investigating into the complaint.
