Sundargarh,Oct 12: In a shocking incident, a youth died and four others sustained critical injuries, all belonging to Sundargarh, in a road accident they met at Ranchi on their way to Prayagraj in Uttarpradesh last night (In the holy Ganga waters).
The five youths were going to Prayagraj for ‘Asthi Bisarjan’ (a Hindu ritual of releasing a piece of bone of a deceased family person).
The deceased has been identified as resident of Tikayatpali under Banai block in Sundargarh district. The injured are residents of Rourkela.
According to information, they all were going to Prayagraj in an Innova van when a large vehicle hit them on the rear at Ranta near Ranchi.
Local police have rushed the injured to a hospital. Further information is awaited.
