Jamshedpur: The Excise Department has taken major action in Kankidih-Mahultal village of Kamalpur-Katin police station area of East Singhbhum district. A total of 61 boxes (546.120 liters) of spurious liquor kept here for consumption in New Year have been recovered. The department has busted this illegal foreign liquor warehouse by conducting raids.
However, during this the warehouse operator managed to escape from the spot. The production department has started locating the warehouse operator. A total of 44 boxes of Kingsgold whiskey have been seized here, which is valid for sale only in Arunachal Pradesh. Inspector Mahendra Devgam of the Excise Department said that owner of godown is being ascertained. At present, spurious liquor is being destroyed. Soon the warehouse operator will also be in custody. Along with this, illegal liquor vendors will not be spared under any circumstances.
