Jamshedpur, August 24: The sports department of Tata Steel conducted an Inter School Karate Tournament on�Monday, August 24 at the Eastern Wing Hall of JRD Tata Sports Complex. The tournament began from 9.00 AM�onwards.
The programme marked the Birth Anniversary of Sir Dorabji Tata. Over 100 children participated in the event. Charles Borromeo, head of sports was the Chief Guest for the event.�
In the Sub Jr. Boys Category: (KUMITE)�- L Dhruv of DBMS Kadma won the first prize. In Jr. Boys Category: (KUMITE) ‘A’- �Aditya Pandey of KSMS was first.
In Jr. Boys Category: (KUMITE) ‘B’- first prize went to Prabhu Toppo. �In Sr. Boys Category: (KUMITE)- Arun Dev of MNPS won the first prize. In Jr. Girls Category: (KUMITE)- Smriti Baxla of DAV won the top prize while in Sr. Girls Category: (KUMITE)- Sanpreet Kaur of KSMS�was first.
Mukul Vinayak Choudhari, administrator of TFA distributed the prizes to the winners. L Nageshwar Rao, Coach, Tata Steel Karate Training Centre, conducted the entire event.
Feroze Khan, Ms. Punam Kumari, Arun Sinha, Ravi Barua & his team made the event successful. Parents, teachers & guests were present at the event.
