Arpan’s blood donation drive in Jamshedpur collects record 1208 units

Jamshedpur: In a display of community spirit, social organization Arpan has achieved a new milestone by collecting 1208 units of blood during their annual mega blood donation camp held at Red Cross Bhawan in Sakchi. This impressive feat stands as the best performance by any private organization in the region.
Despite the scorching heat, volunteers and donors flocked to the event, which commenced with a traditional ceremony of offering flowers to the picture of Lord Birsa Munda and lighting a lamp. The event witnessed the presence of several dignitaries, including MLA Saryu Roy, Tata Workers’ Union President Sanjeev Chaudhary, District Council President Bari Murmu, and many others.
The chief patron of the organization, Amarpreet Singh Kale, expressed his commitment to maintaining adequate blood supplies to meet patient needs and reduce human suffering. “Saving lives is our foremost goal. It is our duty to inspire and encourage humanitarian work,”he stated.
Tata Workers’ Union President Tunnu Choudhary praised Arpan’s efforts and called on other organizations and the public to promote voluntary blood donation. Arpan’s work is commendable,” he said, promising continued support.
Editor Bhavanand Jha highlighted the health benefits of regular blood donation and commended the enthusiasm of the Arpan family. A healthy person can donate blood up to four times a year and remain healthy he noted.
The event saw speeches from various community leaders, including Rakeshwar Pandey, Shailendra Singh, and Dr. Rakesh Rajput, all praising the initiative and encouraging ongoing support for blood donation.
