Arpan collects record 810 units of blood, Saryu motivates donors

Jamshedpur, June 15: As part of the World Blood Donor Day celebration, city-based social organisation Arpan collected 810 units of blood during a three-day camp organised at Jamshedpur Blood Bank. The organisation also distributed 1100 saplings to spread the message of environmental protection.

Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy, BJP leader Meera Munda, and Trade Union leader Rakeshwar Pandey jointly inaugurated the camp. Chief patron of Arpan Amarpreet Singh Kale was also present on the occasion.

On the occasion, Roy motivated the young donors and said that the participation of hundreds of young blood donors is enough to ensure that these youths can fight against the challenges of society. They are true examples for the future generation who want to serve society. He appreciated Arpan for organising such a camp.

In her address Meera Munda said that no one should die for the absence of blood. Youths must fulfil their responsibility towards the society.

Rakeshwar Pandey said that there is no alternative to blood. So it is very important for people to come donate. He said that he is surprised to see the turnout even during the time of social distancing in the wake of coronavirus.

Patron Kale expressed gratitude and said that it is a proud moment for every member of the organisation. He said that so far 810 blood donors had donated blood in the camp. He informed that from the year 2016 to 2020, the organisation has collected 4680 units of blood and Arpan has always been serious about blood donation and has been trying to create awareness among the youth in the society towards blood donation.

Shailendra Singh, Satish Singh, Sudhir Srivastava, Mantu Chawla, Sukhvinder Singh, Varun Kumar, Brij Bhushan Singh, Varunji, Raghavendra Kumar, Ravi Singh Chandel, Dhanudhar Tripathi, Kamat, Pashupatinath Pandey, Buti Tiwari, Shiva Shankar Singh, Dr. Pawan Pandey, Shiv Prakash Sharma, Sanjay Singh, Rajesh Singh played a key role in the success of the camp.
