Arka Jain University’s ‘Navotsav 2025’ and literary fest ‘Navras’

Jamshedpur, Sept 26: Arka Jain University was filled with festive energy during its two-day annual cultural festival, ‘Navotsav 2025,’ which brought together art, literature and talent on a grand stage. The celebration began with the lighting of lamps and a floral tribute in the presence of chief guest Nitin Sansare, Senior General Manager (Corporate HR), Tata Motors. Dr. Pompi Das Sengupta, Assistant Dean (PG), School of Commerce and Management, welcomed the gathering, while Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Angad Tiwari and Registrar Dr. Amit Srivastava commended the enthusiasm of students. Gandhi-Shastri Jayanti Week was also observed alongside the event.

More than 20 competitions across two days kept the campus abuzz. Students participated in dance, music, drama, rangoli, mehendi, painting, poster-making, short films, photography, debates and fashion shows. Food and games stalls added to the lively atmosphere. Winners included Surabhi Singh and Aman Kumar (Fashion Show), Prachi Jaiswal (Rang-e-Henna), Ritu Kumari and Harmeet Kaur (Face Painting), Yashaswini (Debate), Sushmita Mitra (Singing), and the BCA and Pharmacy Departments (Dandiya).

Simultaneously, the Arka Literary Fest 2025, Navras, was organized by the English Department’s Literary Club under the leadership of Dr. Rajkumari Ghosh. With nearly 400 participants from leading city schools, the fest featured 20 events. DBMS High School emerged as the overall champion, while ADLS Sunshine School was declared runner-up. A highlight of the program was a dance drama on the theme of “Navras,” performed by English Department students.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Manoj Kumar Pathak. Faculty members Dr. Rajkumari Ghosh, Dr. Rupa Sarkar, Dr. Shahin Fatma, and others, along with student volunteers organized the two-day event.
