Jamshedpur, July 1: Former Zila Parishad vice president Rajkumar Singh Friday announced that the ongoing free supply of water to various localities of the city would continue for next one month. He said the supply would be made to the areas hit by water scarcity till the problem gets resolved through adequate rains.

“Due to delay in monsoon, many areas of the city are facing acute water crisis. The problem is rampant in areas like Bagbera, Ghagidih, Harharguttu, Kitadih and Karandih. In view of the situation, I requested Tata Steel UISL officials to provide free water for one more month till 31st July. Earlier, free water was to be given only till 30th June,” he said

Kumar thanked the company authorities for providing free water to the residents. He said now the water supply would continue unabated through his tankers.
