Jamshedpur, July 18: The APR Nair Scholarship, initiated by Aman Welfare Society, was launched on Thursday to support academically talented girl students. In a programme held at APJ Kalam High School, Mango, scholarship amounts and study materials were distributed to Humaima and Ifa, the first recipients of the award.
A total of 20 meritorious students from 10 schools in Mango have been selected through an online examination. Each student will receive an annual scholarship of ₹5,000. Two girl students from each school were chosen based on merit.
The event was attended by social worker Dr. Afroz Shakeel, Md. Tahir Hussain, Rafat Ara, and other dignitaries who encouraged the beneficiaries to continue striving for academic excellence.
