Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has wished the people of the state on the occasion of New Year. In a message to the people, he said the state government was committed to the cause of the people and was willing to move ahead with renewed energy in the year 2014.
He said the government had learnt a lot from its experience in the year 2013 and was not in a position to take better decisions as regards the welfare of the people and development of the state.
It is important that there should be transparency in public life and a concern for others in the decisions that we take. I have taken a pledge personally to follow this principle. Every year, I do introspection to assess whether I am dedicated to the cause of the people or not. I am satisfied that I have not yet digressed from my path, he said.
The CM said the people, especially the youth, should too, do some introspection and try to remove their weaknesses bravely. Trust in oneself and commitment can lead one to success in whatever one does, he said.
Soren said the target of making Jharkhand the number 1 state in the country could be achieved only if the people joined hands with the government. A balance in the relationship between public and the leaders could lead the state much ahead on the path of development, he said.
