
Jamshedpur, June 28: Anushka Harshana of JH Tarapore School won the 200 metres race in the senior girls category. In the senior boys section Md. Saif Alam of Kerala Public School Kadma won the 200 metres race. Nilesh Das of Hill Top School, Rohit Prasad of Vig English School and Abhishek Munda of Loyola School bagged the second, third and fourth spot respectively in 200 metres race in the senior boys category. Other winners in 200 metres senior girls were Pavitra Peela of JH Tarapore, Riddhi Rahut of Carmel Junior College and Alina Falak of Andhra Association.

In the 3 km walk for junior girls Anushka Banerjee of DBMS English School was first followed by Sanskriti Chauchan of Little Flower School and Shrey Ashree Tilawat of JH Tarapore School.
In the 5 km walk Santosh Kumar of Tagore Academy won in the senior boys category followed by Rajveer Prasad of Dayanand Public School and Pearl Parteek Toppo of Kerala Samajam Model School.

In the 3 km walk for junior boys Vaibhav Gupta of DBMS English School was first, Himanshu Kumar of St. Mary’s School, Noamundi was second and Vansh Singh of Sri Krishna Public School was third.
Rohit Roy of Vig English School won first prize in high jump in senior boys category. Dhruv Paswan was second.

In long jump for junior girls Sanchita Sinha of MNPS bagged the first position, Priyanka Sinha of Hill Top was second while Sunanya Hembrom of St. Mary’s Noamundi was third.
In Long jump for senior girls Riya Raj Jha of MNPS was first, followed by Anjali Seshadri of Sacred Heart Convent and Priya Murmu of Tarapore Agrico.
It may be noted that 23rd CISCE Zonal Athletic Meet is being organized by J. H. Tarapore School on 27th and 28th June, 2019 at JRD Tata Sports Complex.
The meet concluded with an impressive closing ceremony held at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on 28th June, 2019.
Bailey Bodhanwala, Chairman Tarapore Schools was the chief guest for the closing ceremony.
23rd CISCE Zonal Athletic Meet was an important event for JH Tarapore School, Bailey Bodhanwala thanked and congratulated the enthusiastic gathering of Sports officials and school children for their hard work and determination at the closing ceremony.
Giving
example of Jamshedpur as a city that has excelled in sports, he said that
students who are resilient and tough can excel in the field of sports. The
school band �The Red Velvets� kept the audience spell bound with their
exuberant performance.
