Gamharia, Feb. 25: The forest department has started removing illegal construction from its land. The drive started from Kandra bus stand on Thursday.
The forest department had instructed to shopkeepers to vacate the land, but the orders were not followed.
The affected people claimed that they have been living in the area from past several decades and demanded that the administration take steps to rehabilitate them.
