Anti-drug campaign in Birsanagar leads to demolition of three liquor distilleries

Jamshedpur, Oct 29: The district police in Jamshedpur has intensified its efforts in the ongoing campaign against drug abuse. In a recent operation, the Birsanagar police undertook a crackdown in the Hurlung area, resulting in the dismantling of three illegal country liquor distilleries.

The operation was carried out under the leadership of Birsanagar police station in-charge, Vivek Mathuri, and his dedicated team. Acting on intelligence, the police force targeted the Hurlung region, where these illicit distilleries were reportedly operating. Substantial quantities of Java Mahua and liquor were also seized and subsequently destroyed.

The information regarding the resurgence of liquor distilleries in the area had been received via confidential sources. Promptly, a specialized team was assembled and swiftly conducted the raid. However, upon the arrival of the police, individuals associated with these activities fled the scene. Presently, the police are pursuing further actions in response to this operation.
