Jamshedpur: Kerala Public School, Kadma celebrated Grandparent�s Day in the school premises on Tuesday.
The programme commenced with the lighting of lamp. The event was graced by Manorama Nair, Director of KPS Schools Sharat Chandran, Asst. Dir. Shanta Vaidyanathan, Principal Sharmila Mukherjee, Kerala Public School, Kadma.
Headmistress Jaishree K addressed the gathering and appreciated the efforts in revering the grandparents and teaching the little ones to cherish their presence. The Theme for the event was �Future meets Past�.
The little ones welcomed their grandparents with a melodious song and also staged splendid dance performances. The youngsters presented a skit on the types and importance of the family.
The programme also witnessed games like Antakshari for the Grand Parents. It was a visual treat to watch the grandparents all charged up and turning into kids once again. The grandparents thanked the school for strengthening the family bond.
This event wanted to bring out the importance of grandparents in the lives of children by inculcating basic human values, giving them true and unconditional love and a rich culture to their progeny.
The programme was coordinated under the guidance of Alamelu R and Shalini Sethi, Coordinators.
The programme ended with the vote of thanks given by Jatinder Kaur, Co-ordinator Middle School. All the Teachers of Pre-Primary, Primary and Middle School worked together to make the programme a success.
