Jamshedpur, March 22: East Singhbhum district education department is verifying the applications and certificates submitted by parents for admission in private schools under the Right to Education (RTE) Act. According to sources, 1975 applications have been received for enrollment on quota seats. After this the applications and certificates are being scrutinised.

About 100 certificates have been found to be forged so far. Of these, about 40 income certificates and 60 birth certificates have been found to be fake. All such applications have been rejected. As soon as the scrutiny of applications and certificates gets completed, applications for enrollment in schools will be sent by the end of this month or by the beginning of April, sources said.
