Annual Rabindra Sangeet Fest to attract the new generation: Ashis Chowdhury

Jamshedpur: Tagore Society Honorary General Secretary Ashis Chowdhury observed, �The three day Rabindra Sangeet Festival encompasses the variations and emotional assortments of Rabindranath which time tested exponents of his music will try to impress the audience with.�

The performers on the inaugural day today included Anand Gupta from London followed by popular singers from Kolkata Shreya Guha Thakurta, Durnibar Saha, the ever popular Swagatalaklakkhi Das Gupta and Manomay Bhattacharya who captivated the audience with their distinctive performances.

The musicians who accompanied the singers were popular tabaliya form Kolkata Biplab Mandal, Anjan Basu on esraj, Subroto Mukherjee on keyboard and Sanjiv Acharya on manjira.
